Get Your Game On!

Hello and welcome to my blog- "Renzie on Gaming". I've been playing video games since I was 7 or 8. The earliest gaming console I could remember playing on was one of my old classmate's Atari 2600s- which I was playing until I got introduced to an Apple computer in 1985, and then the PC in 1987.

While I've been mostly playing on the PC ever since, I have also been a fan of a few other gaming consoles- the Sega Genesis, the Nintendo Entertainment System, the PS1 and PS2, and the XBox. I have yet to get me a 360- give me a few months :)

Other preferences for recreation? I've been playing Dungeons and Dragons since the 6th grade (those were 2nd edition rules at the time), I had a lot of boardgames when I was a kid, and I got into Legends of the Five Rings CCG midway through college.

These days, I play a lot of World of Warcraft, collect Justice League and DC Direct Action Figures, and blog a lot about it- mainly right here.

Even if I slave away in the corporate world, I take time out to get me some gaming every so often- which usually means 'as much as I can'.

Welcome to the Wonderful World of Gaming.

That's right, welcome to my world.

Welcome to the world of a 34-year-old self-professed geek- who, by day, slaves away at a regular job and does business like most radio executives, but by night, hunkers down in front of yet another PC and dives into role-playing games.

That's right. I work hard so I can play. I work to pay my monthly World of Warcraft fees. I work to check out Datablitz (the local gaming software retailer) to see if the new game I've been waiting for is already out. I buy gaming merchandising when available. I get other people to play. And now, I'm blogging about it.

This blog- Renzie on Gaming- gives you my personal perspective on games, gaming gear, games marketing, and the gaming industry, and how the gaming industry affects the rest of the world. My personal perspective, ladies and gentlemen. Ultimately, this is all about what I think, and what I care about.
